Recently SILVER VIEW restorers put some finishing touches on the dome steps. Matching vinyl treads were placed on bottom 2 steps, followed by deep cleaning the remaining flooring in the dome aisle.
Painting the walls below the window ledges and front and back 'dashboards' has begun. The super-cold weather outside has not affected inside progress because of the new electric heat elements installed between the walls and floor. Note the beginning of a round hollow pipe that will be extended just under the window ledge. It will carry wiring needed to supply plug-ins for phones, laptops, and other electric devices for each pair of seats.
Lots of steps are required to create a quality finished product. It is so gratifying to have workers with care and quality skills to achieve a superb SILVER VIEW restoration.
