UPDATE for 2020
Zephyr Route has decided to NOT operate any trips this 2020 season. The COVID-19 Virus Crisis that has touched us all has influenced this decision because there are so many safety questions that still remain, and it seems likely that will be the case through the remainder of 2020.
Assuming it will be safe to travel, Zephyr Route will again resume offering quality trips to interesting destinations hopefully in April, 2021 and beyond.
During the absence of Zephyr Route trips, as a way of ‘you keeping Zephyr Route in mind’, if you have signed up for emails, you will receive periodic e-messages about train travel topics, various items of interest at future destinations, and alerts of future trips including dates, itineraries, and fares. We've recently added a new page dedicated to the history of Zephyr cars where we will continue to add more "Zephyr History" as we find time. We hope you find the information interesting.
Zephyr Route genuinely appreciates the support of previous passengers and we look forward to returning and new passengers.
May your future be filled with good health and happiness,
President and Tour Operator

A major mission of Zephyr Route is to restore SILVER VIEW to operate in charter rail service. All net profits from bookings of Zephyr Route Journeys and sales of fundraiser items will be channeled to the SILVER VIEW RESTORATION PROJECT.
SILVER VIEW was built by the Budd Company in 1947 for The Burlington Route Vista Dome Twin Cities Zephyrs. It provided first class parlor car service, and was the signature car to one of the most handsome trains ever built.
When restored, SILVER VIEW will become ZEPHYR ROUTE premier railcar service for current and future generations who seek high quality rail travel.
